Bernedoodle Sizes
Toy
10 - 20 pounds
The smallest of the breed, Toy Bernedoodles are typically bred from a toy Poodle and a smaller Bernese Mountain Dog or a Miniature Bernedoodle. They usually weigh between 10 to 20 pounds.
Miniture (Mini)
20 - 35 pounds
Mini Bernedoodles are usually a result of breeding a miniature Poodle with a Bernese Mountain Dog, and they generally weigh between 20 to 35 pounds.
Medium
35 - 50 pounds
Medium Bernedoodles are a popular size choice, typically weighing between 35 to 50 pounds. They are a common Multigen size but can also result from breeding a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Mini Poodle, retaining that blocky Bernese build in a more compact package.
Standard
50 - 90+ pounds
These are the largest and are typically a cross between a standard Poodle and a Bernese Mountain Dog. Their weight range is usually between 50 to 90 pounds, but some can weigh over 100 pounds, especially if they inherit more of the Bernese Mountain Dog's size.

Because Bernedoodles inherit thick, insulating coats, they handle winter beautifully and love playing face-first in the snow. However, the long hair on their muzzles and paws can freeze easily, so they shouldn't be left outdoors when temperatures drop below 30°F.
When summer temperatures reach 90°F and above, bring your puppy indoors to prevent overheating. Keeping their coats clipped extra short provides great relief from the sun. Always check their furs and paws frequently after outdoor activity, paying close attention to sharp cheatgrass or fox tails that can easily embed themselves in their fur.
